These watches are acquired from defense auctions and official disposal sales. In many cases as with this Watch, they only have a minor issue which needs addressing. These diver's watches are a remake of a 1980s model MWC produced until around 35 years ago. The watch features a robust stainless steel case and is equipped with a high-performance automatic 21,600 bph 21-jewel self-winding movement. We have made several upgrades to the original design, including a shatter and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and an increased water resistance rating. The dial and caseback are both unbranded (referred to in the military as sterile), giving the watch a clean, uncluttered appearance.

Historical and Technical Background:

This watch is based on a 1980 UK MOD specification for automatic diver's watches (DEF STAN 66-4 [Part 1] Issue 3). This specification called for a unidirectional bezel and a boldly marked dial with tritium paint and a mineral glass crystal. Although this watch is made in the spirit of the 1980 watches, it includes improvements such as the sapphire crystal, Non Radio Active Luminova and increased water resistance.
