These leather straps were first worn by German pilots in the second world war and many Luftwaffe (German Air Force) pilots still wear them today on the current Tutima Luftwaffe issue chronograph - see last but one image, the final image shows a 1970s Heuer German Airforce / Luftwaffe Chronograph on a Bund strap.
This strap is a classic and unique European military watch strap which looks excellent on almost any military or civilian watch with 18mm lug size the overall length including the buckle is 21.5cm. We stock a range of Bund straps but this is the one that looks virtually identical to the straps made in the 1960s/70’s.
We find these straps look excellent on almost any military pattern watch but there also look good on many civilian Breitling, Omega and Seiko models etc.
