Availability of CWC Watches – Why They're Hard to Find

We receive frequent inquiries about CWC (Cabot Watch Company) watches, but they have become increasingly rare at military clearance sales. This is largely because CWC G10 watches have not been issued for general infantry use since 2006, following MWC’s contract to supply watches to the British Army.

While CWC watches are still occasionally issued to elite units such as the Special Boat Service (SBS), this unit is small, and the limited number of watches released rarely make it to auction. Their strong collector appeal and limited supply mean they are typically sold within a day or two when available.

In the past—particularly 15 to 20 years ago—CWC models were more commonly seen at military surplus sales. However, due to changes in procurement and the shift in supply contracts, they have now become highly sought-after and increasingly scarce.

If we do acquire any authentic CWC watches, they will be listed in our surplus or collector’s section—but be aware, they tend to sell out almost immediately.
