Description
This watch was previously owned by an RAF officer who decided to part ex it and switch to a chronograph. Approximately 10 months old, it is in sound overall condition, as shown in the photographs of the actual watch.
Our UK support centre monitored it over a 24-hour period and confirmed that it was running normally.

Designed for marine, surface and airborne navigation, the MWC NAV/AU/B/SL combines a robust stainless steel case, an NH35A automatic movement and self-illuminating tritium technology. A rotating 12-hour ceramic bezel provides a simple way to track a second time zone without adjusting the watch’s hands.
Clear visibility, day and night
The clearly marked dial and high-visibility bezel numerals make the watch easy to read at a glance. GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Source) illumination provides continuous illumination without requiring exposure to an external light source or a button to activate it.
Unlike conventional luminous paint, which needs charging and gradually fades during the night, tritium illumination remains available throughout the hours of darkness. Its brightness gradually diminishes over the years.
Automatic movement and robust construction
The watch is powered by the 24-jewel NH35A automatic movement, which offers automatic and manual winding, a date display and a hacking function that stops the seconds hand for precise time setting.
A screw-down crown and caseback support a water-resistance rating of 300 metres / 30 ATM. Although it shares this rating with our diving models, this is a navigation watch: its 12-hour bezel is intended to track a second time zone, rather than elapsed dive time.
Sapphire crystal
The dial is protected by a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with two layers of anti-reflective coating on its inner surface to reduce reflections and improve readability.
Sapphire offers substantially greater scratch resistance than mineral glass, making it well suited to everyday wear and demanding outdoor use. Although highly resistant to scratches, it is not unbreakable and can chip or crack if subjected to a sufficiently hard impact.

About tritium: The dial carries the H3 marking and radiation symbol to identify its tritium illumination. The tritium gas is sealed inside miniature glass tubes, which provide illumination independently of the watch movement.
