MWC Steel Diver’s Watch with 12-Hour Time Zone Bezel and Automatic Movement

In recent years, we've noticed a growing demand from customers who need to track two time zones easily—without the complexity of traditional GMT watches. While GMT models add an extra hand, many users find this unnecessary. There's a much simpler, more intuitive solution: a 12-hour bezel.

Most dive watches feature a "count-up" bezel, originally designed for diving to monitor oxygen supply—hence the 60-minute markers. But with modern divers now relying on dive computers (often worn on the opposite wrist), the bezel’s original function has become largely redundant.

So why not make the bezel more versatile?

Our upgraded diver’s watch swaps the traditional count-up bezel for a 12-hour format, allowing quick tracking of a second time zone. It’s remarkably simple:

For example, if you're in Paris or Berlin and it's 3:00 PM (15:00), and you want to know the time in Miami (6 hours behind), just rotate the bezel until 9:00 appears above the 3 o'clock marker. Done—at a glance, you now have local and second time zone hours aligned.

No extra hands. No fuss.

  • Hacking function for precise time-setting

  • Luminova luminous paint (non-radioactive and long-lasting), with a historical encircled "T" on the dial in tribute to the original Tritium-marked models

  • Movement: Automatic (NH35A – 24 Jewels)

  • Crystal: Sapphire (with dual anti-reflective coating)

Why Sapphire?

We’re often asked why we use sapphire instead of standard mineral glass. Here's why:

  • Sapphire is incredibly durable, both scratch- and shatter-resistant

  • Over 90% of cracked crystal repairs we see involve mineral glass, not sapphire

  • Sapphire is used by the military, police, security, and outdoors enthusiasts—which make up over 70% of our customers

  • It’s the same material now used in iPhone screens for its resilience

  • Though more expensive, sapphire crystal is a feature of premium watches, and we believe it’s well worth it for durability in real-world conditions

This watch blends the rugged functionality of a military diver with the everyday practicality of dual-time tracking—all in a classic, understated design.

If you need a robust, no-nonsense tool watch with modern specs and vintage soul, this one’s built for the job.
