The MWC 300m/1000ft Diver’s Watch is a modern recreation of a classic design first introduced in the early 1990s and produced until 2004. Over the years, subtle refinements were made to the dial, with the clean, highly readable 1999-2001 pattern becoming the most popular—particularly for its exceptional nighttime visibility. This reissue remains faithful to the original, featuring retro-style luminous paint reminiscent of MWC’s watches from three decades ago. While the original models used tritium, the modern version now utilizes Luminova, though the encircled “T” is retained as a nod to its historical origins.
A Lost Batch Rediscovered
Nearly two decades after MWC discontinued this model, a distributor in Australia unearthed 500 brand-new watches stored in their inventory. Originally produced between 1999 and 2001, these watches were part of shipments delivered over three years—until the final batch was mistakenly forgotten. When MWC reacquired and sold all 500 units, the demand was overwhelming, prompting a full-scale reissue—now with significant modern upgrades while preserving the original design and heritage.
