This watch, model 100ATM/12/SS/QZ, is an ex-display item from a trade show. Below is a full description of the watch, including any issues it may have, though often these watches have no significant problems. Following that is the detailed information from the factory website, covering all dimensions, specifications, and other relevant details.
We acquire these watches from various defense auctions and disposal sales. Often, there is nothing wrong with them, but it is assumed they may have some form of fault. Typically, these faults are minor. These watches are sold at a low cost because our service staff, both in the UK and elsewhere, only have time for a quick check. While nothing may be immediately apparent, we assume either there is no real fault, or something minor will reveal itself over time, necessitating a simple service, repair, or battery exchange depending on the model.
Model: 100ATM/12/SS/QZ
Condition: Brand New Ex-Display Watch from a Trade Show
Fault: Brand new with plastic still on the crystal but there might be a random issue with the date change and although it had a note with the watch, which said "check date change" we kept an eye on the Watch for a week and didn't see any evidence of a problem. It changed normally but there could be something and if there is it's clearly something very trivial.
FACTORY DESCRIPTION
SKU: 100ATM/12/SS/QZ
The MWC "Depthmaster" Military Diver models are MWC's latest heavy-duty range. These watches are extremely robust with a sapphire crystal and are suitable for diving with mixed gases at extreme depths due to their 100atm water resistance rating. They feature a wider strap at 24mm (most military divers' watches use a 20mm strap) and a non-scratch ceramic bezel, which is easier to grip in extreme cold. These watches are specifically designed for use by professional divers under very challenging conditions.
This particular variant has a European NATO pattern dial and is finished in brushed stainless steel. The movement is a Ronda 715li with a 10-year battery life and a hacking function for synchronization.

Benefits of Sapphire Crystal
Many people ask about the benefits of sapphire crystal over standard mineral crystal. Synthetic sapphire is the best material for watch crystals because it is strong, shatter-resistant, and scratch-resistant. These characteristics make it appealing to military and security personnel, police officers, and people with active outdoor lifestyles, who make up over 70% of our customers.
When clients have accidents resulting in a cracked crystal, over 90% involve watches with mineral glass crystals, even though we use hardened mineral crystals. Sapphire crystals are stronger because they are heat-treated to remove internal stresses, which can cause weakness. After manufacturing, they are made into watch crystals and two layers of anti-reflective coating are applied. Sapphire crystal is now even used on the latest iPhones. While sapphire crystal is more expensive, it is typically only fitted to higher-end watches due to its superior durability.
