Stainless Steel Military Divers Watch with 12/24 Format dial and an Automatic 24 Jewel Movement, 12 Hour Dial Format, Sapphire Crystal and Ceramic Bezel (Tactical Solid Strap Bars)
SKU Code: XLD/AU/24/SSPVB/FP
The MWC Kampfschwimmer (Military Diver) models are part of MWC's latest heavy-duty range of dive watches. These watches feature a significantly more robust case than most other military dive watches, along with additional crown protection. They also benefit from an impact-resistant sapphire crystal and a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel.
These models use a wider 24mm strap (compared to the typical 20mm strap on most military dive watches) and feature a thicker bezel design. The thicker bezel improves grip—a feature specified in a procurement contract—making it ideal for police and military divers, as well as for use in inflatables operating in cold and extreme environments. This watch is identical to product code XLD/AU/24/SSPVB, with the only difference being solid strap bars, which are sometimes required for challenging military and tactical situations.
This model, introduced in 2022, features a 12/24-hour NATO pattern dial and is finished in brushed stainless steel. It has a sapphire crystal that is both impact- and scratch-resistant. The watch is powered by a high-quality 24-jewel automatic movement with a hacking function for precise synchronization and offers a 41-hour power reserve.

Why Choose Sapphire Crystal?
Many customers ask about the benefits of sapphire crystal over standard mineral crystal. Simply put, synthetic sapphire is the superior material for watch crystals. It’s incredibly strong, shatter-resistant, and highly scratch-resistant—making it a preferred choice for military personnel, police officers, and individuals with active outdoor lifestyles. In fact, over 70% of our customers come from these groups.
To put it in perspective, when clients experience a cracked crystal, over 90% of the time it’s on watches with mineral glass crystals. Even though we use hardened mineral crystals, they still don't match sapphire's durability in extreme conditions. Sapphire's strength is enhanced by heat treatment during the manufacturing process, which eliminates internal stresses that can weaken the crystal. Afterward, two layers of anti-reflective coating are applied for improved clarity. Interestingly, sapphire crystal is now used on the latest iPhone models.
Of course, sapphire crystal comes at a premium, which is why it’s typically found in higher-end watches.
