Fault/Notes: The watch is running but one of the hands has come loose and needs to be reset. As with all watches we purchase from defence auctions and disposal sales, there may be minor issues, though in many cases no significant faults are found at all. These watches are sold at low cost because our service staff only have limited time for inspection; usually a quick check is carried out, but any underlying fault (if present) may only become apparent with use. In most cases, any problem can be resolved with a routine service, battery replacement, or minor adjustment.
FACTORY DESCRIPTION
This MWC model retains the battery hatch, a feature most other manufacturers have now abandoned. The hatch allows quick and inexpensive battery changes, reducing servicing costs over the long term.
The watch features impact-resistant hardened mineral glass rather than acrylic, making it much more resistant to scratches and giving it a cleaner, more professional look. By contrast, most manufacturers still use plastic/acrylic crystals on their G10 models, which scratch very easily.
The dial uses Super-Luminova for night-time visibility. This operates like a light battery — after exposure to sunlight or artificial light, the dial glows in the dark for several hours, often remaining visible all night. This process can be repeated indefinitely, and unlike older lume types, Super-Luminova does not degrade with age and is completely non-radioactive.
This G10 variant is one of MWC’s most tried and tested models, with earlier versions in service for over 30 years. Feedback from serving personnel has consistently highlighted its long-term reliability and durability.
The caseback carries the original contract markings, and the watch is supplied with two NATO straps (one black, one grey).
