Description:
This model is one of MWC’s current military-specification automatic divers’ watches, finished in a covert matt black PVD coating. It features a scratch- and shatter-resistant sapphire crystal with a non-reflective coating, a ceramic bezel, and is powered by a 24-jewel automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve. These elements combine to create an exceptionally robust and high-performance timepiece, offering outstanding value at this specification level.

The non-reflective PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating used here is the same finish often specified in military contracts for special forces units, counter-terror teams, and covert operations. Unlike cheaper painted finishes that can fade or wear off, PVD bonds the black coating to the steel at a molecular level. This ensures long-term durability and resistance to harsh conditions—although, like any material, it can be damaged by extreme abrasion or physical impact.

With a standard 20mm lug width, this watch is compatible with a wide range of straps and bracelets, allowing for easy customization to match your operational or personal style.

Why Sapphire Crystal?
We’re often asked about the advantages of sapphire over standard mineral crystals. The answer is simple: synthetic sapphire is significantly stronger, more scratch-resistant, and much less prone to shattering. That’s why it’s favored by military personnel, law enforcement officers, outdoor professionals, and adventure enthusiasts—who collectively make up over 70% of our customer base.

In our experience, over 90% of watch crystal damage reported by customers occurs with mineral glass—even when it’s hardened. Sapphire crystals are far more resilient thanks to their unique properties. After manufacturing, sapphire glass is heat-treated to eliminate internal stresses, which enhances its strength. It’s then coated with dual anti-reflective layers for clarity. This same material is now used in the latest iPhones, further demonstrating its durability.

While sapphire adds to the cost, it's a worthwhile investment in long-term performance and protection—making it a standard feature in all of our higher-end models.
