Reported Fault: Running, but GTLS tubes are fading due to age
Overview:
This is a 2011 GTLS military divers watch, a now rare and discontinued model, last produced over 14 years ago. Below you'll find a detailed description of this specific watch, along with any known or reported faults. In many cases, issues turn out to be minor—or nonexistent altogether—but we prefer to list all relevant information transparently.
We acquire these watches from defence auctions and surplus disposal sales. While they are sold on the assumption of potential faults, they are often found to be in good working condition. Due to time constraints for our service team in the UK and overseas, each watch receives only a basic check. Some may require servicing, minor repairs, or a simple battery replacement depending on the model. Unless otherwise noted, most issues are minimal.
Factory Description:
This model is a quartz-powered military divers watch equipped with a Ronda 715Li movement and GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Sources) for constant visibility in low-light conditions.
GTLS tubes provide exceptional night-time readability—up to 100 times brighter than standard luminous dials—thanks to self-powered Tritium vials mounted on the H3 dial and hands. No external light source is required to recharge the glow.
