This watch is a brand-new, unused 1999-2007 pattern G10, and it’s the first mint-condition example of this variant we’ve seen in over a decade. We were fortunate to acquire three of these watches at a military clearance sale. Though they've clearly been in storage for a long time, they likely represent one of the last opportunities to obtain a brand-new, unused watch of this type.

Below is a full description of the watch.

We source these watches from various defense auctions and disposal sales. Often, while the watch is assumed to have a fault, it usually only has minor or superficial issues, and in many cases, the watch is fully functional. These watches are sold at a lower cost because service staff perform only quick checks, and no significant issues are typically identified. Given that this is a new, unused watch, it’s likely that only a battery replacement is needed for full functionality.

Model: G10BH

This model is very similar to the current G10/PB but slightly smaller, with dimensions comparable to the CWC G10. It uses an 18mm strap instead of the current 20mm strap and retains the unique bezel design that MWC used until around 2009. It is identical to the MWC G10GC which is a modern remake of this watch

Condition: New, with protective plastic still on the caseback.

Fault: Not running, most likely due to being in storage for over 17 years. It probably just needs a new battery.

These watches are now very rare although MWC have produced a remake of this watch, this is one of the originals from 2007 and would be the last of this particular model which they had run for seven years.

Below is the Factory Description of the current MWC G10GC Model which was developed directly from this watch and is a current remake but this is and original watch.

SKU Code: G10GC

This MWC model is an exact remake of the watch we produced between 1999 and 2004. It closely resembles the current models but features a more compact case. Visually, the watch is indistinguishable from the originals, as shown in the final image. However, we’ve made significant improvements, such as extending the battery life to 60 months—compared to just 36 months in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This watch replaced the plexiglass model we also made, with the main difference being that the original was slightly thicker. As a result, this updated model is more streamlined and thinner while maintaining the historical accuracy of the plexiglass variant.

The watch uses Super-Luminova for enhanced nighttime visibility while retaining the encircled "T" on the dial for historical reasons. Super-Luminova functions like a light battery: after exposure to sunlight or artificial light, the watch glows in the dark, with larger markings often visible throughout the night. To recharge the glow, simply expose the watch to bright light for a few minutes. This process can be repeated indefinitely without any degradation, unlike the older radioactive pigments, which lost effectiveness after about 10 years. Another advantage of Super-Luminova is that it is 100% free of radioactivity, unlike the tritium-based paint used in our original watches from the 1980s.

Having produced these watches for over 40 years, this model is thoroughly tried and tested. Many military personnel, especially those deployed in the Middle East and other locations, have provided favorable feedback on the long-term reliability and durability of this watch.

While this model remains visually identical to the original watches from 1999-2004, we’ve incorporated several detailed improvements, making it significantly superior to the originals.

The back of the case features a unique serial number, and the watch comes with two NATO webbing straps: one in standard NATO grey and one in black. It is presented in a box that carries the original 1974 MWC logo, which hasn’t been used for over 20 years.
