MWC 2001 PVD Military Diver’s Watch – NOS (New Old Stock)
Model: MWC/PVD/DMK1
A Rare Find – New Old Stock from 2001
We have acquired a very limited quantity of unused MWC 2001 model PVD stainless steel diver’s watches, originally purchased for a long-running procurement contract between 1999 and 2022.
These watches are New Old Stock (NOS) – untouched, never issued, and still sealed in their original packaging since purchase in 2000/2001.
Although visually almost identical to current production divers, these are the original versions dating back over 25 years. Quantities are extremely limited, and it’s unlikely that more will surface again.

Why Collectors Value This Model
-
Rarity: Stored untouched for over 20 years – among the last original 2001 models.
-
Heritage: Based on a British Ministry of Defence specification, with direct lineage to current MWC divers.
-
Military Provenance: PVD finish often specified for special forces, anti-terror units, and covert operations. Unlike paint, PVD bonds at a molecular level, ensuring long-term durability.
-
Classic Case Design: First developed by Swiss case maker MRP S.A. in the 1970s, this pattern has been used by CWC, Precista, Heuer (844-1), Chronosport, Elvia, and Nilax. Still in production today after 45+ years.
Historical Background
This model was in production from the early 1990s until 2004, with small changes over time. The 1999–2001 dial layout is widely considered the most balanced version, very close to the dials on today’s models.
Comparable divers from CWC and others using the same case design retail at significantly higher prices. At a fraction of that cost, these MWC watches offer outstanding value while retaining authentic military DNA.
